194th day – 172 days follow

90        Fair

Worked on the old rose garden hedges.

Didn’t go to drill tonight, too hot to do any extra work for the fun of it.

Picked a basket of java beans.

The weather bureau have been promising us rain for over a week now, so far we haven’t got a drop and everything is dried up and almost cooked.

Thel went out to Club meeting over at the Hathaway’s.

Johnny Myer was over to see me this afternoon with his girlfriend. He has a 10 day furlow from Florida.

Saw blueberries are ripe, but they are practically dried up.
