283rd day – 83 days follow

Foggy and sticky weather today.

Started to chop here but it was too hot so I put in the day working in the flower garden. Dug up the glads.

I got a letter from Dr. Jo. Brew this noon.

While I am writing, the Cardinals just won the world series in baseball.

Dave called up this afternoon and said he will be down tomorrow, he said he was going to work in Burmington N.Y.

Mrs. H told me Steve Treglawn has been in bed for a week, hurt his back.

Archie said Roy was doing a good job on the church.

Ski is working up at the store.

The Driscolls are still here.

Phil Chandler has four cows in the pasture today.

Thel, Ski, and Eleanor went to the show.

I called up Charlie Sherman and he has saved a seat for me Saturday for the trip up to Boston.

Percy Finney came over for an hour or so.
