183rd day – 182 days to follow

Temp 87

Hot partly cloudy, a few sprinkles from noon on.

Jubbie worked AM but when we came home to dinner we heard that his brother Eddie is home in town from Germany so Jub didn’t show up this afternoon.

Mary Gallagher is returning July 5 and she told me this morning that yesterday she found an envelope addressed to her and she opened it up and found a 1000 war bond, a present from the boss and she was all thrilled by such a gift of appreciation.

After supper I pulled up two rows of peas and picked off what was left.

Came up a thunder shower and drove me in the house before I could do the planting I planned.
