247th day – 118 days to follow

Sea Bass

Fair and much cooler.

Sawed and split kindling all day.

Picked 1½ bushels of tomatoes on the hill.

Bill Whiting came up on the hill this AM to see if I sent Seamus application in.

He said that Wes Whiting caught 10 pounds of stripers last night ten fish.

Saw Mr H this morning, Priscilla was with him, he said Jubbie might stay on.

Stopped in to see Phil Chandler to see if I could throw my corn stalks at his cattle and he gave me a cabbage.

Charlie Fraser Jr was in the yard tonight to see me a few minutes he has his final discharge from the army, and is looking fine.
