260th day – 105 days to follow

Cool and cloudy light showers

Mrs H and Martha went to Boston today.

Sawed and split kindling.

Steve Treglawn came over to see me and introduce his new gardener, Tom Beale, quite an odd fellow and he is staying in Granny’s house this winter.

Jubbie didn’t show up today.

Ski is still working up at the store.

She got a letter from the Dutch Marine. Some epistle.

Our mother cat brought home a half grown rabbit.

The red squirrel up on the hill is eating peaches right where they grow on the tree.

Everett Doten’s wife telephoned me to see if I would put some of my Indian stuff on exhibition. I sicked her on to Bill Whiting.
