269th day – 976 days to follow

Fair and a little cooler.

Watered lawns and beds all day.

Dug a bushel of potatoes tonight.

Eleanor’s pullets laid 12 eggs today.

Eddie Hathaway’s wife was in here at noon.

Thel went out to a party tonight.

Swallows are flocking up to start their migration.

The Driscolls wanted Eleanor to hire Aunt Tirzah to live in.

I got 3 tons of coal from Sears Fuel for the hill.

Saw a grey squirrel on the front drive.

Wrote a letter to Fred Johnson and one to Harry Hornblower.
