Bert’s funeral

Light rain all day.

Went up on the hill and fixed the furnace and fireplace.

Thel and I went up to Winthrop and there from there Dave drove the car up to Beverly, we all waited till 2-15 all the Whitmans and Plymouth people got there.

Then we went to the church and the service was fine and the flowers beautiful and a great amount of them.

Dave, Murphy, Ez Davis Sally’s husband, I and another man were pall bearers.

Saw Mr Abrahamas and Jennie Brotherston and Frieda Davis.

After the funeral we went back to the house and stayed there for an hour or so.

Dave drove back to WInthrop.

When we got home Silver was in the house and Ski left a note that she had gone out with Alex.

I got a check from Fuller Hammond and a letter of condolence from the mass arch Soc Massasoit Chapter.

Ski and Alex went to the pictures.
