173rd day- 192 days follow

Hot and sticky.

Mr. H. and Harry were up on the hill this A.M.

Sidney Strickland and Charlie were both on the hill with the sign and both had to take it back as both had the wrong kind of brackets.

George Dunlap is home from the hospital and looks good.

I went down to the river to try for striped bass, but the boat leaked so much I had to come home and get some stuff to caulk it up.  Nobody got any fish tonight.  Percy Finney got a 9 ½ pounder this A.M.

Thel and I went down to the camp.  We took my boat along.

There were not so many Whip-poor-wills calling tonight as last week.
