267th day- 158 days follow

Fair and cooler. Fine day.

Mowed lawns all day.

Thel and Cozette were up on the hill this A.M.

Chet Downie was up there to see me this afternoon.

After supper Thel gave me (a ride) over to Nook Farm so I could hunt for arrowheads.  When we got there we found that they had just harrowed the cornfield and spoiled it for hunting.

So we took a ride up the South Pond road and back by way of Jordan Road.

We saw Bob Meyer’s barn that was struck by lightning.

We went up to see Geo. and Eleanor.  Geo. and I played horseshoes.  I won all three games.  I made seven successive ringers.  Best run I ever had.

Then we went in and played five games of crib and Thel and I lost the rubber.
