252nd day- 113 days follow

Cloudy all day.

Cleared up some more around the flower beds.

Mrs. Greenwood and Mrs. Height are still on the hill.

The second girl quit today and the old cook said she would be going too if there wasn’t some more help soon.

Thel was up to see her mother two or three times today.

After supper Thel and I went over to Chandler’s pasture and did some archery shooting.  I think I am improving in my shooting.

Bill Whiting called me up tonight and had quite a chat.  He had another spell with his back bone.

  1. It is with great sadness that I learned that Marie Stefani Clark passed away two days ago. Grampa mentioned her often in the diary. She will be greatly missed.
