Fair and warm, wonderful day.

Jubbie worked this afternoon.

Mr. H. and Mrs. H. were on the hill this A.M.  Mr. H said I could use the bow and arrow that were in the barn.

This afternoon Mrs. H. Left for Martha’s Vineyard to try to catch a record striped bass.

Helen Finney’s husband is up at the hospital taking a treatment for sinus trouble.

After supper Thel and I took a ride up to George’s and did some shooting and broke three arrows.

Thel went up to Tillie’s to a shower for Geo. Holman’s wife.  It will be her 3rd child.

  1. Good Morning! What an amazing historical insight proved by the journal today! The first Annual Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass Derby began on September 15, 1946 and there was Mrs. Hornblower right in the thick of it! Jesse’s journal provides such a wonderful window into regional history! Thanks for sharing Andi.
