125th day – 241 days follow

80        Fair

Forest Fire

Saw a new sparrow with head markings like a cock quail.

Mowed lawns most all day. Thel and Cozette went down to the camp yesterday. There was four forest fire alarms this afternoon, and still a big fire up in the reservation.

We were all blanketed here with smoke.

Dot Holton’s mother was taken off in the ambulance.

Ski’s drawing equipment arrived today.

Hope I have a chance to do some planting tomorrow afternoon.

The Chiltonville fire apparatus went up to the fire tonight.
