179th day – 187 days follow

65        Rain

Charlie Sherman called me up and said he was taking the gang out to Rocky Nook this afternoon.

Bill Whiting called me up at noon this morning. I raked up the grass I cut around the place and put it on the garden as a mulch.

After dinner Archie and I took Mrs. Morton’s boat and went bass fishing and blew so hard we had to quit. Only one fish was caught by the whole bunch of men that were out.

Went up on the hill and saw Mrs. H and she told me how pleased Harry is with his new baby.

We took a look all around the gardens as she hadn’t seen them for a week. and is going back up to Boston again tomorrow morning.

Stopped in to see Walder and Pic for an hour on my way back home.

Raining hard again tonight.
