250th day – 116 days follow

Cloudy

Pheasants

Mowed lawns and trimmed hedges.

Showed Mr. H a sketch of an eel trap I thought up, he thought is a good idea so I am getting the stuff to make it.

On the way back from dinner I saw Phil Chandler and stopped in to see Victoria. She and Walder and the kids went up country to visit Walder’s cousins and had a swell time.

Then I stopped to see how the wild grapes are in H.H. vines strip.

This was the first day of school for Roger Hathawayt and Kathrine Holman and Ski’s first day as Sevior High.

Two young cockpheasants were in the field in back of the house at 5 P.M.

Took a bus over to drill tonight, we are going to parade at Brockton Fair next Sunday.

I got a ride as far as JBs corner with Mrs Eldridge and walked the rest of the way.
