313th day – 53 days follow

The telephone men were up on the hill to see about cutting some limbs off the trees that interfered with the wires.

Worked all day cleaning up rubbish.

Saw a large flock of quail up on the hill, shot at one and missed.

Tried a few practice shots with the 22.

I went over to drill tonight and got a ride with Mr. Dutton going over.

Had a new jacket issued tonight and walked home.

At noon Miss Rice called me up to get the mileage on the station wagon. I called back when I got back from dinner.

Cozette, Till, and Wanetta were in here tonight, they were making up food for the supper at the church tomorrow night.

Thel lost an envelope with a lot of ration stamps in it.
