105th day – 260 days to follow

Temp 45

Fire in back of county farm

Cold with wind today.

Went up on the hill this morning and saw Mrs H, she said Mary Gallagher, the second girl and she thought the cook were leaving her this supper.

This afternoon Thel and I went down to the pond, quite a few were doing the first fishing of the season.

The Hathaways were down on their lot and Archie put some windows in his cottage.

Thel and I painted the boat on the outside, white instead of green.

On the way home we stopped at the river bridge and I dipped up a half dozen herring and got one fine fish.

THere was a forest fire up in back of the County Farm yesterday afternoon.

Janice Roberts has scarlet fever.

Jo Mantis plowed my garden yesterday.

I hope to fix up the canoe so I can use it on the river this summer.

Ski has gone up to Fellowship.

I went out to Toots and borrowed his father’s potato planter.
