14th day- 351 days follow

Partly cloudy and cool.  The ground was frozen this morning the first time for a couple of weeks.

Eleanor went up to her house this morning and afternoon.  She had a telephone installed.

Sawed wood out back of the barn all day.

Got a letter from Mr. Barden and my discharge papers came from the Mass. State Guard.

Saw a goss hawk (goshawk) up on the hill yesterday.

After supper Thel and I went down to Phil Chandlers to a whist party for the Community Club.  Twas about 50 women to five men.

It broke up at 10 P.M.

Snowing when 23 came out.

Charlie Fraser was in here tonight to see about putting in a new ceiling in our living room.
