182nd day- 183 days follow

Fair and hot.

Saw Ernest Sawyer at noon. He is looking pretty poorly and he told me that the State police shot the colored fellow that killed Geo. Bell.

They got him up at Camp Manuel.  He was trying to get back with the rest of the colored fellows.

After supper I mowed some of the grass in the clothes yard.  Then Thel and I went up to the Church.  The lady auctioneer was up there and a lot of folks were there straightening up.

Eleanor and Marie were here for dinner.

Dave called up at noon and said he is having his vacation next week and he is coming down to spend a week at our camp.

Sure complicates matters as I was planning my vacation the same week at the same place.

Mary Gilli was up on the hill this afternoon.
